Gumala Enterprises Pty Ltd (GEPL) has announced the appointment of mining services and civil construction industry leader, Doug Grewar, as Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Grewar brings extensive experience in the mining and civil sectors throughout Australia and Asia Pacific to his new role with the leading Aboriginal organisation.
He has held significant executive positions for ASX-listed companies and sat on a variety of boards for both public and private-sector organisations.
Chair, Darren Injie, said the Board was very pleased to have secured Mr Grewar to lead GEPL forward over the coming months, during which time they would conduct a professional recruitment process to appoint a new, permanent Chief Executive Officer.
“With a broad background in leadership and project management, Doug’s industry insight, skills and commercial acumen are well suited to a growing and evolving entity like GEPL,” he said. \
“We are confident Doug will ensure GEPL continues to deliver the quality outcomes and strong partnerships it has established an enviable reputation for.”
Mr Injie said the Chief Executive Officer recruitment process was expected to take three months.
“We look forward to announcing a new Chief Executive Officer and expanding on our plans to create an even stronger and more diversified future for GEPL in due course.”
Mr Grewar commenced his new role on 2 August 2017.
