The town of Pannawonica is an iron-ore mining town located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, near the Robe River, about 200 km south-west from Karratha and 1429 km North from Perth.
Scope of Work
Rio Tinto is committed to providing the best possible accommodation options for its workers at its mine sites across the Pilbara.
In 2012, GEPL was commissioned to undertake earthworks for an extension of the Pannawonica Worker’s Accommodation Facility which caters for the needs of Rio Tinto’s fly in/fly out workforce.
The $5million project substantially expanded the accommodation and facilities available at the Pannawonica location.
