Phils Creek Landbridge at Yandi
The Yandi Sustaining project is located in the central Pilbara region of Western Australia, approximately 90km northwest of Newman. The Yandi Sustaining project is to maintain production from, and expand the Yandi Mine by extending the operation of the mine into new ore deposits. The expansion has created a requirement to remove existing power-line infrastructure on-site.
Scope of Work
Spread, condition, compact and trim upto 10 million tonnes of material to construct a land bridge spanning an open pit with dimensions in the region of 550m long and 350m wide at base and 40m high at a target rate of approximately 300kt per week. Expected completion in the middle of 2018 GEPL have managed to secure additional clearing and top soil stripping works nearby of approximately 60Ha and a further 150Ha.
