Western Turner Brockman Project
Western Turner Brockman mine is located 20 kilometres north west of Rio Tinto’s first Western Australia, Pilbara mining venture, that started at Tom Price, in 1966. It is an open pit iron ore mine that currently has all its ore production processed at the Tom Price ore processing plant.
Scope of Work
In 2014 GEPL was awarded a contract to construct a haul road to connect the Oxbow ore body to the Junction South West run of mine pad.
The $5million project included the creation of a haul road rail crossing, upgrades of access roads, supply and installation of corrugated steel pipe culverts and supply and installation of fencing, gates, guard railing and signage.
