OUR STORY

Gumala Enterprises Pty Ltd (GEPL) is a 100% Aboriginal-owned organisation. Our primary businesses are contracting and mining services and tourism/hospitality (Karijini Eco Retreat).

GEPL is wholly owned by Gumala Aboriginal Corporation (GAC), and was established in 1997 as the commercially-driven arm of GAC.

GEPL proudly represents the GAC Traditional Owners of the Bunjima, Yinhawangka and Nyiyaparli language groups. Gumala means “all together” in traditional Bunjima language, and signifies the unification of the three distinct language groups who came together to negotiate the Yandi Land Use Agreement (YLUA) in 1997.
